New Rosary – Howlite

My latest rosary is made from 6 mm howlite beads.  Howlite was discovered by Henry How in 1868.  The white beads have gray streaks in no particular pattern.

The spacer beads are made from 3 mm black diamond  Swarovski crystal.  The accent beads on either side of the Paters are also made from black diamond  Swarovski crystal; they are 4 mm bicones.

The centerpiece depicts the Madonna surrounded by a floral wreath.

This rosary is now the most expensive one I’ve made to date.  I added up the cost of my parts and was a bit surprised.  I suppose I should not have been too surprised.  Neither Howlite nor Swarovski crystals are cheap.  Until now, the black goldstone rosary has been my most expensive.
